It all started in World of Warcraft…

Andrew and Erin first met playing, World of Warcraft, a MMORPG (massively-multiplayer online role-playing game). We started a friendship during the Dark Times (near the beginning of the COVID pandemic in 2020) and eventually started a long-distance relationship. Erin played a healer (resto druid for life!) and Andrew played a fury warrior (warrior go brrrr) in raids and mythic+ dungeon content. Andrew really appreciated having a healer in party for quick queue times.

In January of 2023, Erin was able to move to Texas with her dog, Athena, and cat, Osiris, to be with Andrew permanently, as her job was fully remote. It was fun to introduce those two to Andrew’s cats, Saul and Cass. Osiris is still a grumpy old man and wants nothing to do with them (it’s tough being Methuselah) but Athena crossed the rainbow bridge September 26, 2024. Now, we have a new pupper, Serenity, a Husky-Australian Cattle Dog mix to annoy all three cat boys with.

In February of 2024, Andrew proposed at the Dallas Aquarium, right in front of the jellyfish exhibit (jellyfish are really really cool!). We are omega nerds so we play video games, Magic the Gathering, and Pathfinder (similar to Dungeons and Dragons) together and with friends. Spending a night playing video games or watching anime is our preferred date-night activity. Now that Erin is regaining some mobility, we hope to add more traveling to our list of couples activities.
